About the Club

One hundred and twenty five years old, the Sussex County Croquet Club, or simply “Southwick” to the thousands of players who have visited it over the years, offers outstanding facilities for the playing of croquet. The Club is affiliated to Croquet England and its eleven lawns have hosted international World and European Golf and Association Croquet Championships. Each year the Club is the principal venue for the Inter-County Association Croquet Championship and the Inter-County Golf Croquet Championship: these prestigious UK tournaments are among the largest croquet events held anywhere in the world.

Sussex County Croquet Club is a major part of Croquet SouthEast, the croquet federation for Sussex, Kent and the London area. It takes part in all their leagues and tournaments as a club and hosts many of its premier events including the annual Golf Croquet Carnival.
