About the Club

Nearly one hundred and twenty five years old, the Sussex County Croquet Club, or simply "Southwick" to the thousands of players who have visited it over the years, offers outstanding facilities for the playing of croquet. The Club is affiliated to Croquet England and its eleven lawns have hosted the European Association Croquet Championships and the World Golf Croquet Championships. Each year the Club is the principal venue for the Inter-County Association Croquet Championship and the Inter-County Golf Croquet Championship: these prestigious UK tournaments are among the largest croquet event sheld anywhere in the world.
