Refurbishment Update from Richard for the end of November

Orientation: looking from kitchen end of canteen

Windows and entrance doorway have been formed and sections of floors removed for timber inspection and levelling.
First fixed wiring within ceiling void has been installed.

Looking from old back door of Canteen various hot and cold water pipes to be supplied from new boiler and hot water cylinder and main water feed to bar and kitchen area. 50mm waste pipes can also be seen. These discharge into existing drains.

Two replacement joists have been laid alongside existing joists.
The battens which can be seen fixed underneath the joists at right angles to them are for supporting the rigid underfloor insulation.

Floor joists have been levelled and replaced where necessary. 100mm rigid underfloor insulation is being installed prior to new flooring being laid.

Excavation for one of two new concrete pads have been dug.
