2024/5 Winter Ladder Competition Entries

Below is a list of entries for the internal club competitions. If you have entered an event and you wish to withdraw please  email int.comps@sussexcountycroquetclub.org.uk.

Payment: £5 due now (if you haven't already paid!) will be by bank transfer preferably (Reference: LADDER).

Ladder Rules

Players are listed as if on the rungs of a ladder according to their handicap card index (in brackets by their name on the ladder).

If the player lower down the ladder beats someone above them, they swop places, otherwise you stay in the same place.  

A few rules:

1. A player can challenge one player at a time who is one or two places above them on the ladder.  Agreed matches go ahead even if other match results have altered the players' relative positions on the ladder.
2. If you are challenged you should agree to play your game within two weeks (weather permitting). You must agree a challenge unless you already have another game in the pipeline.
3. You cannot play the same player twice within a two week period.
4. Matches are a single 13 point game, level play. Jumping is not allowed, subject to Rule 5 below.
5. If both players agree, and provided a jumping mat is used, jump shots may be taken and the match recorded on handicap cards.
