We will have our Charity One-ball heat on April 3rd this year. The Manager provides the following information:
A player's One Ball handicap will be the lowest of:
a) His/her AC handicap.
b) 2.5 x his/her GC handicap
Then, bisques will be one third of the difference, as before (subject to Appendix 6 of the Laws). andfor 2016 the chosen charity is Myeloma UK (www.myeloma.org.uk). Myeloma is often referred to as 'bone marrow cancer', it affects 4,800 people each year in the UK and it cannot be cured, only controlled, and therefore sufferers often need a lot of support. As it happens, several prominent croquet players have contracted Myeloma in the past few years.
This excellent charity has a 'house colour' of orange, so for the heats and in the final we are encouraging everyone to wear something orange!
Entry fee: to be announced
Entries can be made on-line in the usual way.
